A brown pleather band edged in cut maroon and white fringe, four inches overall. The Virginia Tech, Texas A&M and Mississippi State roll — and, this being Suffolk, the one that moves first.

Cut pleather does not fray, so the fringe stays sharp through a whole season on a door. And it moves in wind, which is the entire appeal of fringe over flat ribbon.
