Giving back to our community is one of our greatest delights. Every month A. Dodson's supports a charity chosen by our customers. We match each donation our customers make when they round up their change at purchase. To date, we've donated over $80,000!

Once you see the choices, you'll understand why we can't decide which charity to support. We're like a child looking at a litter of puppies. "Can't we just have them all, please?" So we ask our customers to vote and the charity with the most votes at the end of the month is who we support the following month.

In addition to voting, we hope you'll spread the word about these amazing organizations and help them in any way you can. 

Here's a little about each charity.

Evelyn's Wildlife Refuge This group of volunteers provides professional care to sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife with the intent to release them back into their natural habitats. Evelyn's Wildlife Refuge is committed to educating the public to better understand local wildlife and to recognize when animals need assistance from humans. Our donation would help them provide food, medication and bedding to wild animals in need of care. Click here to get involved!

Bon Secours DePaul Center For Birth The Center For Birth is in need of a Feeding Tube Kit for their preemie babies. These babies are too little to nurse or use a bottle and their tummies are sensitive and underdeveloped. The Feeding Tube Kit will warm the milk and give them a better chance to grow and develop on schedule. At the moment, the Center For Birth does not have this state of the art feeding tube kit. Our donation will allow them to purchase the kit to feed 4-5 preemies per month. Click here to get involved!

Ronald McDonald House of Norfolk  Families often travel from far away when their sick children are staying at our local hospitals. Ronald McDonald House relieves the stress and expense of lodging and travel so families can focus on their #1 concern - the health of their child. Ronald McDonald House can accommodate up to 17 families per night and their rooms are completely filled 79% of the time! Our donation will provide food, lodging and essentials to families during their unimaginable time of need.
