A clean red, white and blue stripe on dupion — the plain-spoken one in John Mark's patriotic group, and the least expensive roll of the three.

Stripes are the ribbon you build with. Put this underneath either star print and it reads as a deliberate layer instead of competing with it; use it alone and it still looks like someone meant it.

Dupion's slubbed texture keeps it from looking like plastic party ribbon. Four inches wide, ten yards.
